Frequently asked questions about castings

Do I need to be an actor to apply for a casting?

No. Many roles, particularly background and featured extra work, are open to people with no experience whatsoever. Productions constantly look for authentic faces of every age, type and background. Lead roles normally involve an audition.

How much does a shooting day pay?

Fees vary considerably between projects. They depend on the type of role — extra, supporting or lead — the number of shooting days, the client, and the usage rights negotiated (territory, duration, channels). Some projects are short, while advertising campaigns can pay substantial daily fees. The exact amount is stated in every casting call, before you apply.

Do you cast English speakers and expats living in Romania?

Yes, regularly. International productions filming in Romania often need native English speakers, as well as other nationalities and language profiles. If you're an expat living in Bucharest or elsewhere in the country, you're very welcome to register — these profiles are in constant demand and frequently hard to find locally.

Can I do this as a one-day job or part-time?

Yes. Many projects involve a single shooting day, others a few days spread across a month. There's no long-term commitment: you apply only to the castings that suit you, on the dates you're available. For many people it's a source of income alongside a main job or studies — and larger roles can pay well for just a few days of work.

Is registration free?

Yes. Registering in the database is free. We charge no fees to actors or extras, and take no commission from the money paid for shooting days.

How do I register a child?

The account is created by a parent or legal guardian, with recent, clear photos of the child. A parent must be present on set, and the schedule respects the legal working-time limits for minors. If you'd like to apply with several family members, create a separate profile for each — productions often look for real families.

Where do the shoots take place?

Most shoots happen in Bucharest and the surrounding area. We have our own casting studio near Piața Unirii, at Strada Muzelor 2, where auditions are held. Some projects film in other Romanian cities, which is always stated in the listing.
